Klaniczay Receives International Prize for History

Gabor Klaniczay, University Professor at the Department of Medieval Studies, received  the International Prize for History at the General Assembly of the International Committee of Historical Sciences (CISH) on September 29 in Moscow. Klaniczay was awarded the prize for the excellence of his work last year.

Following the laudatio by Professor Andrea Giardina, president of CISH, Klaniczay delivered a lecture in French, entitled Signes corporels de la présence divine: la Chrétienté médiévale dans un contexte comparatif  (Bodily signs of divine presence: medieval Christianity in Comparative context).
