Nursing Department

At the College of Eastern Utah, nursing theory is correlated with knowledge from the biological, physical, and the behavioral sciences. Qualified nurse educators guide students in theory, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences that utilize acute care hospitals, extended care facilities, clinics, home and other health related environments. The ADN and PN programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), 61 Broadway- 33rd Floor, New York, NT, 10006.

Students have two options in nursing education. Students can attend one year of classes to obtain a Certificate of Completion in Practical Nursing, and enter the job market; or if they are interested and qualified, can obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. Currently licensed LPN's who desire to continue their nursing education can also apply for advanced placement in the Associate Degree program.
