Annual High School Fine Art Competition

During the month of January, the College of Eastern Utah Art Department hosts an annual High School Art Competition, held in Gallery East on the CEU campus. The competition offers students an opportunity to create noteworthy artwork and affords them a chance to learn how to prepare, frame, and present their work in a juried show with their peers. We hope this experience sparks a genuine interest in the arts and future career paths in the visual arts.

All artists of high school age (14-18 years old) are eligible to participate, including public high school students, home-schooled students and students attending private schools. You need not be enrolled in an art class to participate.

Entries in any medium will be considered. This includes, but is not limited to: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, graphic design, digital art, ceramics, sculpture, non-clothing textiles, jewelry, film/video and transmedia work. All entries must be original work created by the artist and completed within the past year.
