Life Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability
In the new fiscal year USU-CEU will have a new provider for Life Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability. The new carrier for these policies will be the Hartford. They are the provider for these benefits at USU and USU-CEU will be on the same plan. The Hartford will grandfather everyone in who currently has the voluntary benefits of Supplemental Life Insurance and Short Term Disability coverage. They will also cover employees for the College provided benefits of Basic Life Insurance and Long Term Disability.
USU-CEU will hold a special open enrollment period in the Fall when faculty return so everyone will have a chance to evaluate their current coverage and determine if they want to enroll in any of the offered voluntary benefits.
