IMPRESSIONS: Impacts and Risks from High-End Scenarios: Strategies for Innovative Solutions

Duration:
November, 2013 to October, 2018
Funding:
EU FP7 - Collaborative Project

IMPRESSIONS (Impacts and Risks from High-End Scenarios: Strategies for Innovative Solutions) is a large-scale EU funded project which aims to provide empirically-grounded, transformative science The project will develop and apply a novel participatory methodology that explicitly deals with uncertainties and strong non-linear changes using a range of scenarios focusing on higher-end climate change, but also including intermediate and 2oC warming levels. This new methodology will create a coherent set of higher-end climate and socio-economic scenarios which will be applied to a range of climate change impact, adaptation and vulnerability models that build on theories of complex systems and address tipping elements as key characteristics of such systems.
