CEU Research Excellence Award

The annual CEU Research Excellence Award was founded to recognize excellence in research by CEU faculty. All CEU resident faculty are eligible. The awards are intended to reward and showcase research output, produced in the year leading up the grant, of outstanding quality that has had a significant international impact.

The value of the award is gross EUR 2,500 and each year one faculty member may receive it. The award will be presented at the Commencement Ceremony.

Nominations may be submitted by any faculty member by May 16 each year to the Office of the Pro-Rector for Research and Faculty (PR_research-faculty@ceu.edu). The letter of nomination should provide a brief rationale, including any available evidence (e.g., journal ranking, citations, recognition by professional bodies or other forms of qualitative assessment). The nominated faculty member’s up to date CV and a sample of publications (or the main publication justifying the nomination) should be enclosed, as well as any document attesting to the high quality and international impact the publication received (e.g., review of the book).

The selection will be made by a committee consisting of the Pro-Rector for Research and Faculty, the Pro-Rector for Teaching and Learning, the Vice President of ACRO and one external member who is an internationally recognized scholar of any discipline relevant for research at CEU.
