The annual CEU Research Excellence Award was founded to recognize excellence in research by CEU faculty. All CEU resident faculty are eligible. The awards are intended to reward and showcase research output, produced in the year leading up the grant, of outstanding quality that has had a significant international impact.
The value of the award is gross EUR 2,500 and each year one faculty member may receive it. The award will be presented at the Commencement Ceremony.
Nominations may be submitted by any faculty member by May 15 each year to the Pro-Rector’s Office. The nomination should provide a brief rationale, including any available evidence (e.g., journal ranking, citations, recognition by professional bodies or other forms of qualitative assessment) attesting to the high quality and international impact the publication received. The selection will be made by a committee consisting of the Provost, the Pro-Rector, the Vice President of ACRO and one external member who is an internationally recognized scholar of any discipline relevant for research at CEU.
