What is the Student Recruitment Internship program about?
We at CEU's Student Recruitment Office couldn't be prouder to work with our amazing group of volunteer interns throughout the academic year. The ten-month program involves current students in all kinds of student recruitment activities which aim to promote CEU's degree programs and help prospective students across the globe.
Each intern cohort consists of some 30 master's students, selected from over 100 applications at the start of the academic year. In 2019-20, Student Recruitment Interns took part in 70+ projects and 10+ recruitment-related and soft skills training sessions and group meetings.
What are the requirements?
Students selected for the internship are required to dedicate at least 15 hours of volunteering time over the academic year.
They can choose from a wide range of student recruitment-related tasks, such as:
- participating in fairs, webinars, campus tours, presentations and other events
- taking part in video projects
- creating content for social media (Instagram, Facebook and YouTube)
- advising prospective students online or face-to-face
- conducting research
- carrying out general administrative tasks.
Participating students are also required to attend quarterly catch-up and team-building sessions.
As a student intern, you will become a part of a close-knit, diverse community, with students from various CEU departments. The program also offers a great opportunity for you to boost your CV and improve your soft skills, from communication and interpersonal skills to time management and team work. We also offer 10-plus soft skills training sessions that will help you grow as a professional, whatever field you are in.
At the end of the internship, you will receive a certificate stating that you have fulfilled all the requirements. We are also happy to provide recommendation letters on request.
Application to the Student Recruitment Internship program takes place at the beginning of the academic year, usually between August and September. It is open to every first-year or one-year master's student. We will hold several information sessions during the Orientation Week, where you can sign up for the selection process.
