Andreea Costa (LEGS, Romania)

Tell us about yourself.

I studied Law at the European University of Viadrina in Germany and thought that it would only be natural to focus further on Business Law. Without a solid economic foundation, there will also be issues with democracy.

Why do you enjoy participating in CEU’s Student Recruitment Internship Program?

CEU has strong communitarian values and we all feel that being a part of the CEU family means giving back as much as we can and helping the next generation of CEU students. The work we have done with the Student Recruitment Office is very tangible, the interaction is very much real and it has developed my soft skills tremendously.

Why would you recommend CEU to a prospective student?

One might think that the CEU experience is limited to the amount of time you spend on your studies. The moment you step on campus, you become a lifetime  member of the CEU community, and you’ll develop a strong personal connection both with your peers and your professors.

What makes CEU special for you?

CEU has taught me to become a better critic so I can bring about positive change in the jurisdiction of my home country. It has opened up new  horizons for me and has shown me that great things require not only passion but also hard work. I am grateful for my time as a student, as CEU is a prestigious university with top experts in their field. Lastly, I would encourage everyone to believe in themselves and embark on this journey. Studying at CEU will influence you not only as a professional, but also as a human being.
