Kurowska Leads CEU Part of Multinational Consortium Project

Xymena Kurowska, assistant professor in the Department of International Relations and European Studies (IRES), will serve as lead CEU researcher for “Global Norm Evolution and Responsibility to Protect,” a consortium-led project supported by a €1 million grant from the Volkswagen Foundation in cooperation with the Compagnia di San Paolo and the Riksbanken Jubileumsfond within the research framework “Europe and Global Challenges.” Berlin’s Global Public Policy Institute leads the consortium in partnership with institutions in Europe (CEU, Oxford University, University of Frankfurt); Asia (Peking National University, J. Nehru University); and Latin America (Fundação Getulio Vargas, Brazil). The project starts this November and is scheduled to run through April 2015.
