Open Society Archives presents the 9th Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival from Nov. 6 through 11. The films address topics including Ukrainian child laborers, Swedish transsexuals, Chilean political prisoners, Italian homeless, Russian anarchist artists, Zambian polygamists, and Hungarian prisoners. The festival also features meetings with filmmakers and producers, roundtable discussions and late-night concerts. The International Panorama, one of four themed collections of films, contains a selection of the best contemporary creative documentaries from all over the world, including films shown at Cannes, Venice Film Festival, Cinema de Réel, DOK Leipzig, Tribeca, One World Prague, and other prominent film festivals. The other collections include Hungarian Panorama, Eyes on Russia and Moving Masses. Films will be shown at five Budapest art cinemas as well as at OSA Archivum.
