CEU’s Human RightS Initiative invites applications to participate in a one-day workshop, Fundraising for NGOs, on Dec. 1. The workshop is part of HRSI’s Capacity-Building Program, aimed at providing students with practical skills needed to work in the not-for-profit sector. The trainer, Ailsa Spindler, development manager at the European Roma Rights Center, will help participants learn how to develop a successful funding strategy, identify potential funding sources, maximize the likelihood of success, and report project progress to funding organizations. CEU students, staff, and alumni are eligible, as well as staff from Budapest-based NGOs and students from other universities. The application deadline is Nov. 23, and a limited number of places are available. For information and to apply, see http://hrsi.ceu.hu/events/2012-12-01/fundraising-workshop.
