CEU Library has won two grants to fund professional development opportunities. The first finances a three-day workshop for 10 staff members to strengthen their skills and build confidence in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating professional training. The workshop, to be held at CEU, will be conducted by Netskills, a staff-development service based at Newcastle University and supported by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC). JISC is an internationally recognized authority on information and digital technologies for education and research, known for helping institutions improve the quality of learning, teaching, and the student experience, as well as the quality, impact, and productivity of academic research. The other grant award enabled a CEU librarian to attend the Internet Librarian International Conference in London in October. The grants were awarded by the American International Consortium of Academic Libraries, which includes 26 institutions in 21 countries.
