The Future of EU - Solidarity and European Values
This video provides an overview of the Feb. 11 international conference organized by CEU’s Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS), the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, the Patriotism and Progress Public Policy Foundation, and the Representation of the European Commission in Hungary.

Discussing European Integration
In a series of short interviews, CEU Center for EU Enlargement Studies Director Peter Balazs, former Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai, and Germany's former Vice Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Joschka Fischer discuss crucial issues facing the EU today, including the speed of new-member integration, formation of a fiscal and political union, and maintenance of national sovereignty within the overarching union.

Our Lives Out Loud: In Pursuit of Marriage Equality in Ireland
American-born Irish Senator Katherine Zappone and her wife, Ann Louise Gilligan, gave a public lecture at CEU on Feb. 18. In this video they recount how they met at Boston College and explain how Zappone became an Irish citizen to gain security for her married future with Gilligan. The two marriage equality advocates discuss their reasons to push for progressive change and reflect on how public opinion on gay marriage is changing in Ireland.

John Shattuck Digital Story Series
"Lawyer, Professor, Diplomat: Lessons from the Field"
In part two, CEU President and Rector John Shattuck talks about his career path, beginning with his job as a trial lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and continuing through his position as assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights, and labor under former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. In that role, he was involved in the major human rights crises of the early 1990s. His work in the Balkans provided his first opportunities to build relationships in Central and Eastern Europe. CEU On Point with Gergely Radacsi
Gergely Radacsi, a researcher at CEU's Center for Business and Society, discusses why businesses are not addressing substance misuse adequately—an issue that has been raised by governing bodies and organizations including the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the White House. Radacsi proposes ways businesses can integrate this issue into their corporate social responsibility programs.
