Margaret Bolter has joined CEU as Deputy Chief Operating Officer. This is a new position created at the specific request of the Board of Trustees to strengthen the management of the University at a time when several projects of strategic importance, with long-term implications, are running simultaneously. In this role, Bolter will work directly with COO Liviu Matei to manage and coordinate the University's administration.
Bolter has been working with CEU for the past six months as the Interim Director of Development. She contributed very significantly to the successful fundraising efforts of this period (the target set for the current academic year is already met). She joins CEU from CCS, an international management and development consulting firm, where she was an Assistant Vice President. She specialized in campaign planning, management, and execution; staff training and management; board development; and assessments and feasibility studies for major university and academic medical centers and global NGOs. She has demonstrated outstanding ability to lead organizational growth and realize goals and has an exemplary fundraising success record. She holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
