CEU’s History Department Research Initiative on “Labor History for the 21st Century in a Global Perspective” and fellow conference organizers seek paper proposals on Central, Southeastern and Eastern European labor history for the 10th European Social Science History Conference in Vienna, April, 23-26, 2014. Two panels, one on rural labor and another on labor and state socialism are planned, and more are possible. A roundtable discussion on how research from the region can help promote integration into a global labor history is also planned. Some contributions will be selected for the first volume of a new book series entitled "Transdisciplinary Labor Studies for the 21st Century."
