Center for Media and Communication Studies Names Haraszti, Ristovska, Starkman and Barata as Fellows

The Center for Media and Communication Studies at the School of Public Policy has announced the appointment of four leading and emerging media scholars and practitioners as fellows: Miklos Haraszti, a Hungarian author, professor, and human rights promoter who currently serves as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Belarus; Sandra Ristovska, a documentary filmmaker and doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania; Dean Starkman an award-winning journalist, editor of the Columbia Journalism Review and author of The Watchdog That Didn't Bark: the Financial Crisis and the Disappearance of Investigative Journalism; and Joan Barata, principal adviser to the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.
