The Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s reviewers' report on CEU's review document is uniformly positive, covering a range of topics, such as academic planning and assessment, student recruitment and enrollment, faculty retention, the linkage between academic and financial planning, and CEU’s external challenges.
The conclusion of the reviewers’ report validates CEU’s recent strategic achievements, progress in institutional assessment, and increasing academic excellence.
The formal decision on CEU’s re-affirmation of accreditation with the Middle States Commission will be announced in November 2014.
An excerpt from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education reviewers’ report:
“The CEU Periodic Review Report comes together as an example of an institution that has taken the issues raised by Middle States seriously, especially implementing the strategic plan, linking planning and budgeting, and fostering systematic assessment. The report is a well organized, well documented, and comprehensive answer to the areas of concern. CEU has taken its future, including future planning, enrollment and financial wellbeing, seriously, and is clearly working hard to be the best CEU possible. Hopefully the present momentum and rate of progress will continue through the length of the strategic plan and thereafter."
