On December 3, 2014 the United Nations and the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. CEU will join the celebration with a number of events organized by the Dean of Students Office and the Student Life Office aimed at raising awareness at CEU for these issues.
The United Nations (UN) has announced Sustainable Development: The Promise of Technology as the 2014 theme for International Day of People with Disability.

"Neo" Hungarian Assistance Dogs Organization – Display with dogs
Their aim is to help people with physical or mental disabilities to lead more independent lives. Their other goal is to change the society’s perception of disabled people with their Sensitization Program.
Sports and Leisure Association for the Visually Impaired
Their aim is to encourage visually impaired people to do sport and to show them the pleasure of sport.
Their aim is help sign language gain social recognition and thus to help the integration of the deaf community by tools and applications created in the course of various developments.
The video sign language interpreter launched in 2013 will be presented by the colleagues of the Foundation.

Judith Butler and Sunaura Taylor went for a walk and engaged in a terrific conversation about disability as not merely some physical status but largely a social status, and that is also true for so called "able-bodied" persons.
