Littvay Part of Team Reviving Hungarian Twin Registry - Hungarian news portal reports: The 15th Congress of the International Society of Twin Studies (ISTS) took place in Hungary between Nov.16-19. The regionally unique Hungarian Twin Registry was vital in making this conference a reality. Although the first Hungarian Twin Registry was established in 1970 through the mandatory reporting and in the 1980s a second, volunteer adult registry was also founded, both registries ceased to exist in the 1990s. Efforts by a team, including Associate Professor Levente Littvay at CEU’s Department of Political Science, started to revive the registry in 2006. Current research focuses on cardiovascular and respiratory health and yielded multiple awards and publications.
