Senate Approves Changes in Academic Departments and Programs

The Senate approved the following changes in academic departments and programs, effective January 22, 2015.

The changes in degree programs will only enter into force following their approval by the New York State Education Department. This will be announced separately. Until then, the programs will continue operating and recruiting students under the existing names.

The Senate approved the name change of the department of International Relations and European Studies to department of International Relations.

The Senate approved the change of the following degree names:

-    One-year MA in Medieval Studies to be changed to one-year MA in Late Antique, Medieval and Early Modern Studies;

-    One-year MA in International Relations and European Studies to be changed to one-year MA in International Relations.

The Senate approved the format change of the 1-year MBA program at the Business School from “full time” to “accelerated”.
