CEU Alumnus Spoljaric Wins Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard

Luka Spoljaric (MEDS ’08, MEDS PhD ’13) has been awarded a prestigious one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University’s Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, Villa I Tatti in Florence for Academic Year 2015-16.. Spoljaric’s project will build on his dissertation on Nicholas Bishop of Modrus which he defended at the Department of Medieval Studies in 2013; at I Tatti he will be focusing on the final chapter of Nicholas’s career and seek to shed light on the role that he and other curial prelates played in the restoration of the papacy’s prestige and its rule over the Papal States.
