Name Changes Approved for Master's Degrees at the Department of History, Department of Medieval Studies, and Department of Mathematics and its Applications
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has approved the proposed changes of degree names at the Department of History, Department of Medieval Studies, and Department of Mathematics and its Applications.
The one-year master's degree at the History department has been renamed from MA in Central European History to MA in Comparative History (1-year). The two-year master's degree run jointly by the History Department and the Medieval Studies Department will be called MA in Comparative History (2 years), and the two concentrations at the respective departments will be "from 1500 till present time" and "Late Antique, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies". The two-year master's degree in Applied Mathematics has been renamed to MS in Mathematics and Its Applications.
The name changes will affect students enrolling in the programs from the academic year 2015-16 onwards.
