Support CEU’s Roma Access Programs with 1% of Personal Income Tax

Hungarian tax law allows taxpayers to offer 1% of their previous year’s paid taxes to an approved charity. Same as in the previous years, CEU’s Development Office invites members of the community to consider designating their 1% to CEU and our Roma Access Programs (RAP). To kick off this year’s campaign, a group of RAP students and alumni created this 2-minute video to share what the program means to them.

Last year, CEU faculty and staff contributed HUF 2,037,863 (EUR 6,400). When combined with funds raised through CEU’s 1% campaign over the past six years, the total is more than EUR 15,000. We can all be very proud of what we help RAP achieve — with 170 graduates in 10 years, RAP is making a difference in the lives of deserving and talented students who likely would not otherwise have access to an advanced education.

RAP relies entirely on grant support and individual donations, and now is your chance to help. Please consider  designating your 1% to CEU and the groundbreaking Roma Access Programs. Learn how at www.ceu.edu/onepercent. These details are also included in the tax packet from HRO, delivered to the unit coordinators.

The Development Office and HRO are available to answer questions or help prepare your declaration(s). Should you have any questions, contact Nora Erdei (erdein@ceu.edu) in Development or Reka Herczeg (payroll@ceu.edu) in HRO.
