CEU Community Celebrates Earth Day

CEU is committed to promoting environmentally conscious behavior and action, so the CEU community celebrates Earth Day 2015 with a series of informative and participatory events during the week of April 18-24. Events include volunteer opportunities, an informative presentation of the sustainable design elements of our campus redevelopment project, and a fix-it-yourself bicycle repair workshop.

April 22: CEU Renews: Building Better and Smarter for the Future Public Presentation

Time: 11:00am

Location: Oktober Hall, Oktober 6. utca 7, Ground Floor

CEU's Campus Redevelopment Project aims to transform the university's downtown space into a flexible, modern, and welcoming facility that maximizes user comfort while minimizing environmental impact. Members of the CEU community will have the opportunity to hear from the architects and other key members of the project design and management teams who have been responsible for ensuring that the project delivers a smart, efficient and functional campus for the future.

April 24: Fix it Yourself Bike Repair Workshop

Time: 12:00pm-3:00pm

Location: Outside of the CEU Monument Building, Zrinyi Utca

Come learn more about how to become more self-sufficient in repairing your own bike. Join Sustainable CEU and members of Cyclonomia for a Fix-it-Yourself Bike repair workshop and information session. Experts will be on hand with all the tools necessary to help tune up bikes to get them ready for safe riding, while also being prepared to diagnose and give advice regarding any more serious issues. Members of the CEU community are encouraged to bring their own bicycles to this event, and be ready to lend a hand to other community members while they repair their own bikes.
