CEU’s Refugee Crisis Task Force Organizes Food Drive

Thousands of refugees cross through Croatia and Slovenia daily. Non-profit organizations in Budapest are still actively delivering much-needed supplies to the border areas, and CEU’s Refugee Crisis Task Force invites the CEU community to come together once again to help out. They are collecting food items, and meal vouchers are also welcome - CEU volunteers will purchase needed items with them. This time, in addition to collecting food items and vouchers through Wednesday, November 4, community members can volunteer to get together to prepare food packages on Friday, November 6.

List of needed items:

-muesli bars

-chocolate bars

-breakfast bars (Jo Reggelt, Belvita)

-juice boxes

-dried fruit packages

-IKEA or other sturdy reusable shopping bags

-meal vouchers

-gas cards

Food items are collected at the Nador 11 lobby, meal vouchers or gas cards are being collected by Lilla Jakobs at the Center for Policy Studies, N11 room 319. The Task Force will send out details regarding time and location of the food package prep session shortly.
