Economics Blog Defacto on Childbirth Rate and Women’s Role in Society

http://index.hu/gazdasag/defacto/2016/01/18/defacto/ - Hungarian news portal index.hu’s blog Defacto posted its latest article with the title “What can a man do for more children to be born in Hungary?” The article reflects on the recent Hungarian public discourse initiated by polarizing political statements regarding women’s roles. According to research data, the article argues that more babies are born in developed countries where women work and men take their share of household duties.

Defacto is a bi-weekly economics blog created and maintained by professors from CEU’s Department of Economics Gabor Kezdi, Peter Kondor, Miklos Koren, Botond Koszegi, and Adam Szeidl.
