How to apply?
The general deadline to complete your application for academic year 2016-2017 is May 3, 2016. If you apply for Social Mind Area-Scholarships, you have until February 21, 2016 to submit your application. Remember that the main deadline to submit your completed application is May 3, 2016!
- Read through the step-by-step Application Checklist, the program-specific requirements, the relevant application deadlines and our FAQ page. Remember that your language test score must be valid at the application deadline. All applications submitted must be complete with any applicable standard test score report (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE etc.).
- In case you want to submit more than one application: remember that you will need to upload a separate application package for each of the programs you may be targeting. However, you do not need to create a different account for a second application.
- Keep an eye on the arrival of your recommendation letters. If the letters have not been submitted, reach out and remind your recommenders. At the same time, submit your completed application and do not wait for your recommendation letters. Remember: the letters can separately join your application any time before the deadline.

If you are about to finish your application:
- The main deadline to submit your application for our degree programs is May 3, 2016 midnight, Pacific Standard Time (PST). There may be differences between your time zone and the Pacific Standard Time zone, so make sure to google the difference and take it into consideration.
- Make sure you press the ‘Submit’ button as soon as you have completed your application and do not leave submitting your application to the last minute! The system may slow down with the submission of a huge number of last-minute applications.
- Keep an eye on the arrival of your recommendation letters. If the letters have not been submitted, reach out and remind your recommenders. At the same time, submit your completed application and do not wait for your recommendation letters. Remember: the letters can separately join your application any time before the deadline.
- Pay the application fee (40 USD) as the last step of the application process. The application fee can either be paid through the EMBARK Application Form, or through the CEU Online Payment Site. If you encounter technical difficulties, often something very simple – e.g. changing your browser – will solve the issue. In case you encounter a more serious problem, turn to: admissions@ceu.edu.
