Jeremy Braverman joined CEU as Media and Visual Education Specialist on February 15. In this newly created position Braverman’s primary role is be to support media production, including documentary filmmaking, across CEU’s programs through the establishment of a new, donor-funded Media Lab in the new library, and to collaborate with members of the CEU community to create innovative educational opportunities in media production to support teaching and research.
Braverman has an MFA from the Department of Film and Video, Columbia College Chicago, and has most recently served as Chair of the Department of Cinema Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has experience developing new programs and services and over 15 years of teaching production skills, visual analysis, and screenwriting. A filmmaker himself, Braverman also worked in Budapest in television and as a translator in the late 1990s.
