Volunteers Replant CEU's Edible Garden in Honor of Earth Day

Since 2010, CEU has been celebrating Earth Day in a variety of ways from hosting sustainability fairs to planting a friendship tree in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy and CEU's home district mayor. This year, nearly 20 volunteers gathered in CEU's Japanese Garden to give the area a good spring clean by weeding, repotting and planting new seedlings and young plants for the Edible Garden.

Soon the garden will be filled with tomatoes, peppers, herbs and bird- and bee-friendly flowers for the CEU community to enjoy. Sustainable CEU is looking for volunteers to help maintain the garden throughout the season. Contact Sustainable CEU if you have time for watering, weeding and harvesting between classes or in the summer.
