CEU Students Launch Kickstarter Campaign to Finance Book on Fossil Fuel Curse

Savannah Carr-Wilson and Sandeep, MESPOM master’s students in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy, are currently writing a book, entitled the Fossil Fuel Curse. They plan to conduct research in India and Canada this summer and turn their findings into a unique non-fiction book that will bring global attention to the impact fossil fuel extraction has on communities in India and Canada, and what will happen to these communities when the world makes a transition to renewable energy.

Carr-Wilson and Sandeep have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise 3,500 CAD, the rest of their research budget. They need to meet their funding goal to make their research and writing this summer possible.

Support them by donating to their Kickstarter campaign and sharing their project with anyone who might be interested in the topic!
