New CEU Library Now Open

Phase 1 of moving the CEU Library to CEU's new Nador 15 building is now complete. 

The Library features state-of-the-art technology, elegant architectural appointments , comfortable work spaces, and inspiring views both to the Danube and to the interior of the campus.

Course reserves, course readers, copiers, scanners, and large screen computers will be available as usual in the current Library until the new Library opens   

All online library systems for databases, e-journals, and e-books will be operating as usual from

Initial features of the new Library, Nador 15 include:

2nd floor - Entrance & Library Information Desk (6th floor Entrance will open a bit later) 
3rd & 5th floor - 8 bookable collaboration rooms (co-Labs)
4th floor - IT HelpDesk
5th floor - Mirabaud Media Lab

- Nearly 90,000 books & journals, with room for several years of expansion
- 86 Large screen computers throughout
- Copy stations on each floor with standard copiers as well as 2 high quality Bookeye & Zeiss optical scanners 

Stack requests will still be available as usual for the collections that are not moving yet. Some collections will be available for browsing by appointment until Phase 2 renovations are complete when new 2 stack areas will be renovated.

The CEU Library staff wish to ephasize the dedication, cooperation, and hard work of CEU's Redevelopment Office, O'Donnell & Tuomey Architects, Teampannon Architects,  the General Contractor and many subcontractors, Campus Services group, and Building Management group throughout the several years of this project and especially in the last month.  

The Library is a serious research environment. The usual campus "Guidelines for filming and photographing" people apply, and this "Policy for the Use of  Library Space."
