Fiser’s Research Reveals New Strategies the Brain Might Use to Solve Complex Problems - Hungarian news portal reports: Associate Professor at CEU's Department of Cognitive Science Jozsef Fiser contributed to research published in two recent issues of the journal Neuron that helps neuro- and cognitive scientists understand more about specific neural behavior and computation in the part of the brain that controls vision. Fiser and his co-authors' research on probabilistic representation and computing in the brain complements the current big data and modeling revolution  which uses large amounts of data and newly developed sophisticated computational methods to tackle very complex problems not only in the hard science disciplines but also, perhaps surprisingly, in liberal arts fields such as anthropology, sociology or political science.
