Tijana Krstic, associate professor in the Departments of Medieval Studies and History, and Gabor Kezdi, professor in the Department of Economics, have been named the recipients of the 2017 CEU Distinguished Teaching Award. The award recognizes CEU faculty members for promoting high standards of teaching, linked with the mission and institutional ambitions of CEU.
Gabor Klaniczay, university professor in the Department of Medieval Studies, won the 2017 CEU Award for Outstanding Research. The award was founded to recognize outstanding research by CEU faculty that has had a significant international impact. Klaniczay received the International Prize for History by the International Committee of Historical Sciences in 2016 for his excellent research work.
His most recent book, entitled Saints of the Christianization Age of Central Europe was published by the CEU Press.
The awards will be conferred at the 2017/2018 academic year opening ceremony, on September 15, 2017.
