The CEU InnovationsLab (iLab) has been selected as a national finalist in the 2017 CES Innovation Awards in the Best Accelerator and Incubator Category. CES Awards is the Central and Eastern European chapter of the Global Startup Awards, meant “to recognize and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and startup ecosystems” in CEE. Last fall, Talk-A-Bot, another startup incubated in the CEU InnovationsLab, that was co-founded by Akos Deliaga and Gergely Kalydi (both CEU MBA alumni) was selected by Viber as an official “Preferred Enabling Partner” of Viber’s new Public Accounts chatbot platform. Talk-A-Bot is the only Eastern European partner of Viber, a platform that currently has over 800 million customers. Talk-A-Bot’s latest product is the Sziget Festival chatbot called David Viber. Visitors can get all the important information about the festival and converse with David.
Other companies in the CEU InnovationsLab include BrokerChooser, an online platform that matches retail investors to brokers and robo-advisers across Europe.
