CEU’s Human Rights Initiative Hosts Cryptoparty

September 26, 2017

What is a CryptoParty?

CryptoParty is a decentralized movement with events happening all over the world. The goal is to pass on knowledge about self-protection in the digital space. This can include encrypted communication, preventing being tracked while browsing the web, as well as general security advice. Two human rights activists from Berlin, with a combined CryptoParty experience of five years, come to CEU to pass on their knowledge and train members of the CEU community, so that this knowledge can be passed on further. CryptoParties are free and open to everyone, especially newcomers, beginners, and the curious. Bring along a laptop/smartphone.
