Human Rights Initiative Hosts PR and Communications Workshop

The Public Relations and Communication Workshop organized by the Human Rights Student Initiative (HRSI) group will take place on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The one-day long intensive workshop will cover the basics of PR and Communication for the non-profit sector in a wide variety of topics, such as presentation content development (audience analysis, key points and structure), presentation analysis (analyzing a TED talk, why and how it works), presentation design (how to make beautiful PowerPoints quickly and easily), communication strategy planning, online communication, and crisis-communication (in a hostile media-environment), among many others.

The exact content of the workshop will be decided on the basis of the applicants’ interests.

Trainers:

Orsolya Nemes

Orsolya is senior consultant and trainer of Milestone Solutions Lab, TEDx speaker and TEDx coach. She is a guest author at HVG Business and Forbes Hungary covering presentation and generations. Her presentations are usually published on SlideShare's Top Presentation of the Day. Her slide deck entitled Generation Y was picked by the editorial team as one of the best 20 out of 10 million uploads. She usually conducts talks, trainings and workshops both in Hungary and abroad. With Solution Lab's team she is supporting MNCs, SMEs and NGOs to create a people-centered organizational culture. Orsolya's presentation training is considered as one of the most useful and enjoyable at a number of multinational trainings (e.g. Telekom, MOL, Generali). She co-authored a book on presentations entitled I Present, therefore I Am in 2017, and her book The Generational Myth is coming out later this year. She was selected as one of the 50 under 30 talents in Hungary in 2015.

Richard Hampuk

Richard, founding manager of Person Group (www.persongroup.eu), has over 10 years of communication experience. Before founding his own company, he gathered knowledge everywhere, from multinational companies to government. He worked as a volunteer for Barack Obama's 2012 and Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. His company had a vital part in making the Heroes' Square initiative well-known and has supported 'Bator Tabor' for multiple years. Their current partners include: Coca-Cola, Generali, 3M, Penny Market, Philip Morris, and Budapest Airport. He was awarded the 'Young Manager of the Year 2016' award for founding his current company.
