Campus Redevelopment Update

Three new spaces are opening on campus this fall: 

• A new gym facility in early October in Faculty Tower, Lower Ground Floor. 

• A new medical center location by the end of October in Monument Building, Mezzanine Floor. 

• A new self-catering student hub on the 10th floor of Faculty Tower with a roof-top connection in end of November.  

The work on renovating the Faculty Tower is nearly complete. The large classrooms on floors 3-8 and a small seminar room on the 3rd floor will open on October 1. The Event and Space Management team is coordinating the booking of these rooms and they will soon be available in the room booking system. The green computer lab will also be moved to the Ground Floor of Faculty Tower, next to the old auditorium, from Oct 6/12, room 112.  

We will not be moving any departmental offices into Faculty Tower this autumn. Any decision to move departmental offices will be influenced by the overall plan for space usage across the campus, which continues to be under review.   

Additionally, the following access points to the Faculty Tower will open from October 1: 

• General access via the Monument Building 

• New access points between N13 and Faculty Tower on the Ground Floor 

• Connection between Faculty Tower and October 6/12
