Helga Dorner, faculty member, senior teacher and researcher in higher education teaching and learning has been named Interim Director of the Center for Learning and Teaching (CTL).
Sally Schwager, founding director of the CTL, returned to the U.S. after seven and a half years at CEU.
Since its founding in 2011, the CTL has grown to include a full range of scholarly programs for faculty and for doctoral students, including a faculty discussion series, course collaborations, individual consultations and class observations, and working with faculty on Teaching Development Grants. Doctoral students from across the university take courses at the CTL, with over 500 enrollments as of last spring, and some 80 doctoral students have earned a certificate from the CTL Program for Excellence in Teaching in Higher Education. Others participate in the CTL Mentoring Program for Global Teaching Fellows and special sessions for CEU Teaching Assistants.
This year also brings several new and returning post-doctoral fellows to the CTL. The Center welcomed Gorana Misic and Margaryta Rymarenko to the team.
Tunde Polonkai, office manager, continues to be first contact (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any CTL related requests and inquires.
