CEU, Blinken OSA Host First Researchers' Night Event

October 5, 2018

Central European University and the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives (OSA) joined the European Researchers' Night event series for the first time this year. The series aims to boost public awareness of the positive role of research in society, especially among young people, and to show how research done at the participating institutions can impact people's daily lives.

Over 200 visitors joined Researchers' Night at CEU. Participants could listen to lectures and presentations by distinguished CEU faculty on the scientific works that take place at the university. Researchers from the Department of Cognitive Science invited guests to participate in interactive games that study behavior and cognitive skills. Guests could also watch documentaries made by CEU students on the rooftop.

Blinken OSA offered guided tours of its building and two talks were held in connection with their new exhibition: Suicide – Hungary 1956-1986.

The event was organized by the CEU Community Engagement Office.
