CEU is hosting this year’s Autumn Academy of EAIE, the European Association for International Education. The event takes place at CEU’s Budapest campus from 18-22 November and is intended to provide participants with a toolkit of expertise, know-how and best practices in the field of international higher education.
All courses are led by experienced trainers, tailored to the needs of educators working in internationalization.
Participants on Monday will be welcomed by CEU President and Rector Michael Ignatieff and EAIE President Sabine Pendl.
The program will include courses on designing and running summer schools; building a full-cycle recruitment process; and creating a positive experience for international students. There will also be a training course on building successful international partnerships and designing and running Joint Master Programs.
Founded in 1989, the non-profit European Association for International Education is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalization of higher education.
Its annual conference is the largest of its type in Europe to focus on the internationalization of higher education. This year’s EAIE was held in the capital of Finland on September 24-27, with CEU’s current situation discussed in a session on academic freedom.
