Around the world, campus visits for prospective university students will look a bit different this year as a result of the pandemic. For Central European University (CEU), the shift to host a Virtual Open House on November 27, offers an environment with the potential to bring an even more personalized experience to global prospects.
The suite of live-streamed sessions will feature the experience of studying at a global university, illuminate the nuances of CEU bachelor and graduate programs across departments, provide tips for the application process and outline available financial aid.
Vice President for Enrollment Management, Career Services and Alumni Relations, Serge Sych, will open the day, followed by an introduction to CEU with International Relations MA student, Tamar Giorgobiani and an information session for graduate program admissions with Admissions Manager, Katalin Horvath.
Also in the morning, students representing all of CEU’s academic departments will be available in a forum for questions from prospects. Here, they’ll share what it’s really like to study at the university. In addition to this session, prospects can directly engage with current students through one-on-one chats via Unibuddy on the CEU website.
Throughout the afternoon, sessions with CEU’s academic departments offer a rare chance to speak with world-class faculty and departmental representatives. Prospects can hear from multiple areas of study and can customize their day by registering here. Finally, additional online content gives a peek at student life and career services, as well as select online classes and film shorts on thesis projects.
