Central European University has been ranked 3rd out of 26 universities in Austria by the international university ranking U-Multirank. This is a remarkable achievement considering that CEU opened in Austria in 2019, and we are honored to be in such excellent company.
U-Multirank is the largest and most inclusive university ranking organization, showcasing the diversity in higher education across the world. It employs a unique multidimensional, user-driven approach to international ranking of higher education institutions when comparing their performance. They achieve this through analyzing five dimensions of university activity:
- teaching and learning,
- research,
- knowledge transfer,
- international orientation and
- regional engagement.
The U-Multirank web tool enables comparisons at the level of the university as a whole and at the level of specific study programs. Based on empirical data, U-Multirank compares institutions with similar institutional profiles and allows users to develop their own personalized rankings by selecting indicators in terms of their own preferences.
According to U-Multirank, CEU’s overall profile shows top performance across various indicators, with 13 ‘A’ (very good) scores overall. These were awarded for: digital education investment, graduating on time (masters), gender balance, citation rate, research publications, top cited publications, post-doc positions, foreign language bachelor and master programs, student mobility, international academic staff, international joint publications and international doctorate degrees.
