CEU Cognitive Development Center Hosts 13th Annual BCCCD

From January 5-7, Central European University’s (CEU) Cognitive Development Center hosts the 13th annual Budapest CEU Conference on Cognitive Development meeting (BCCCD23) at CEU’s Budapest campus.

This year’s conference features invited speakers H. Clark Barnett (University of California, Los Angeles), Anne Christophe (CNRS and Ecole normale supérieure – PSL, Paris) and Kang Lee (University of Toronto). The conference is organized by CEU researchers Eszter Körtvélyesi and Rachel Dudley.

This will be the first in-person convening of the conference since the 2020 edition, which attracted more than 360 participants. It will include hybrid online formats for those who cannot join in person. The conference will feature paper and poster presentations reporting studies from all fields of cognitive development.

Previous BCCCD meetings featured a wide range of topics, such as communication, pragmatics, social cognition, conceptual development, language acquisition, numeracy, object cognition, perceptual learning, inductive learning, memory, executive function, metacognition, cognitive bases of culture and comparative cognition.
