GO WEST! Exhibits Work of IAS Resident Artist Andrii Dostliev

Central European University's (CEU) Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) Artist in Residence Andrii Dostliev culminates his Budapest residency with the exhibition GO WEST!. Organized by the Vera and Donald Blinken OSA together with the IAS and CEU's Visual Studies Platform, Dostliev's artistic research project on “Ostarbeiter” (the forced laborers from Eastern Europe in Nazi Germany during WW2) is on view at the Galeria Centralis through March 5, 2023. 

Andrii Dostliev (b. 1984) is an artist, curator, and photography researcher from Ukraine, based in Poland. His primary areas of interest are memory, trauma, identity—both personal and collective—, decolonial practices in Eastern Europe, and the limits of photography as medium. His art practice works across photography, video, drawing, performance, and installation. He has published several photobooks.
