A virtual private network ("VPN") is a secured connection between two computer systems allowing access to certain resources. Basically at CEU, the VPN primary purpose is to extend the CEU network to your private computer and provide access to various university resources when you are off campus (thus, it only works from outside the CEU network―on campus these resources are available without VPN).

This service is available for all students, faculty and staff with an active O365 account.

Accessing CEU resources requires two steps:

  1. First establish the secured VPN connection through the Cisco AnyConnect app.
  2. Then the following resources become accessible through the active VPN connection:

Alumni can also request access to VPN via the Alumni Office, however, in that case you will have to renew access yearly.

NOTE: Office 365 services (Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Office apps) are directly available online without a VPN connection.
