CEU’s Open Learning Initiative-University Preparatory Program, OLIve-UP, is a university preparatory program for refugees funded by Erasmus+ and the Higher Education Support Program of the Open Society Foundations. Since January 2017, the program offers intensive training in different academic subjects and in academic English to prepare students to continue their studies in BA and MA programs in Europe.

‘Art IN academia’ is envisaged as an artistic event consisting of an exhibition and possibly a series of performances targeting young scholars involved in academia on the levels of Master, PhD and Post-Doctoral research, who plan to pursue artistic career upon their graduation, strive to create art on a professional level while doing academia, or used to follow an artistic path but have chosen to devote themselves to academia exclusively. Within the European Commission's Erasmus+ Program Key Action 1 – Mobility of Individuals, CEU academic and administrative employees may seek Erasmus+ funding for participation in a training mobility abroad. The staff training must be carried out at a Higher Education Institution (HEI) that is a holder of an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education or any public or private organisation active in the labour market or in the fields of education, training and youth. The CEU Inclusive Project is organized by the CEU Alumni Scholarship Recipients (ASRs) in coordination with other CEU offices and bodies. The project is geared towards strengthening the accessibility of CEU facilities for students and staff with disabilities. To this end, ASRs are carrying out an audit of physical accessibility of CEU premises and the residence center from a user-based perspective.

CEU Summer University invites innovative, research-based and/or policy-oriented course proposals from faculty members at CEU or elsewhere. SUN courses are usually taught by a team of five to seven faculty members representing a wide range of geographical, disciplinary, and institutional backgrounds. The target audience is master’s and PhD students, junior faculty and researchers, and professionals. The program aims to help strengthen CEU’s research capacity and academic network-building efforts.
