CEU Booking System Updates

December 13, 2018

The old room booking system at booking.ceu.edu is no longer in operation. The address now takes users to the new booking system. 

Read on for further updates: 

   - The catering area in front of the Faculty Tower Auditorium is available in the booking system as „FT Catering area ground floor”

-  One part of the Front Office can also be booked for registration purposes, it is in the system as „N15 Registration space @ FO” – (when booking it, users can also add a request for a laptop if needed for registering)

CEU Senate Approves Programs for Austrian Accreditation

December 13, 2018

At the Senate meeting on October 5, the CEU Senate approved the BA program in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, the BA program in Liberal Arts and the MA program in International Public Affairs for Austrian accreditation; Andrea Weber’s application for the ‘egytemi tanar’ (university professor) title and elected new chairs and members to some Senate committees.

Campus Redevelopment Update

Three new spaces are opening on campus this fall: 

A new gym facility in early October in Faculty Tower, Lower Ground Floor. 

A new medical center location by the end of October in Monument Building, Mezzanine Floor. 

Boosting Gender Equality @CEU: The SUPERA Project

Gender equality is an integral part of CEU’s foundational values of an open society. CEU is strongly committed to ensuring that its faculty, staff and students are treated and respected equally regardless of their gender identity. To enhance its commitment towards gender equality, in June 2018 CEU joined the Supporting the Promotion of Equality in Research and Academia European initiative (SUPERA project).

Third International Staff Training Week Held at CEU

July 9, 2018

Twenty-one participants from nine European countries enjoyed a week-long training in Budapest focusing on university partnerships in the social sciences and humanities. The Erasmus Staff Training Week, organized third time at CEU took place this year between June 25 and 29. International officers, project coordinators, study abroad coordinators, and even career advisors and press officers joined the event from Belarus, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain.
