The CEU Senate approved the Policy on Harassment, which has now entered into force.
Previously, issues on harassment and sexual harassment were covered by an Annex to the Code of Ethics. Last year, the Code of Ethics, as well as the section on harassment, underwent a thorough revision. Members of the CEU community also urged a regulation of these issues. As a result, a separate policy was prepared which, after several rounds of consultations, was approved by the Senate.
The annual CEU Picnic, slated for May 24 at SOTE Sports Center, welcomes staff, faculty, students, alumni, and their friends and families for sports competitions, and more. Register by May 12 for football, women's football, volleyball, badminton, chess, street-ball and running competitions. Anyone who chooses not to compete can relax, enjoy the sun, or visit with other guests. As in past years, there will be plenty of fun activities for kids.

IT Department has replaced CEU's spam filter with a professional, commercial solution from Sophos. The transition was seamless. The new spam filter is expected to be much more effective, protecting the CEU community from annoying and sometimes dangerous external junk e-mails. The new system can be fine-tuned on the spam filter's website, where you can review your personal spam quarantine, and also add emails to your block or allow lists. For further information, contact the IT Helpdesk.
The updated version of the policy registry is now available at http://documents.ceu.hu and can also be accessed from the main CEU website by clicking on the University Policies at the bottom of the page using Novell ID and password. The new registry follows the same specification as the old one, but has some additional capabilities in order to make the search of the documents easier.
