The CEU Residence Center hosted a Blood Drive on September 22. From the 38 people registering, 21 were able to donate blood. Among the donors were CEU students, Residence Center staff, and locals also attended the drive. Four students and one staff volunteered to promote the drive in the neighborhood. The students enjoyed connecting with the local community this way.
The 13th edition of Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, organized with the support of Blinken OSA Archivum November 8-13 showcased 62 films from 37 countries in four cinemas. The festival attracted over 5,000 viewers. Within the framework of the festival and with the support of CEU’s Visual Studies Platform (VSP), DocLab production workshop “The Roads to Integration” took place at the new CEU Mirabaud Media Lab.

Since its launch in February 2015, CEU’s integrated online platform, career>next, has attracted more than 200,000 page views from more than 13,000 unique visitors in its first year of operation.
Hosted by CEU's Student Union in the CEU Residence Center, this year's Intercultural Festival welcomed representatives of 25 countries and 20 languages on January 23. Students, dressed in 18 different national costumes, performed their traditional songs and dances on stage. 40 traditional dishes were served on 22 tables. Members of the Student Union spent 50+ hours preparing for activities for participants of the Intercultural Festival to enjoy.
The Human RightS Initiative at CEU hosted Shoebox Full of Love Donation Drive from November 17 to December 7. Members of the CEU community donated 41 Christmas presents for children in need. The presents were placed in shoeboxes and wrapped in festive wrapping paper, with a sign indicating how old children the presents were for. HRSI delivered to to the representatives of the Pesterzsebet Roma Minority Self-Government who will distribute them to the children before the holidays.
In the last two years CEU completed major upgrades in its online conferencing software capabilities on campus, and will further expand the number of rooms with online conferencing capabilities during the campus redevelopment. The implementation of multiple smart conferencing rooms in collaboration with mobile equipment that can be used in almost any location on campus has made online conferencing, teaching and communication more convenient and effective than ever before.
Philanthropy Awareness Day 2015, hosted by CEU's Alumni Relations and Career Services (ARCS) on November 13, prompted 198 CEU students, 61 staff, 9 alumni, 9 faculty and 3 friends to offer donations, and were rewarded with a piece of cake, also baked by members of the CEU community,and a CEU-branded water bottle, while supplies lasted.
