Information for Current Students

This section provides information on some of the practical aspects of living and studying in Budapest and in Vienna as an international or local student. The intention of this guidance is to complement other sources of information you are likely to receive during your first few weeks on campus, and act as a guidebook for the entire academic year. It includes advice on finding accommodation, opening a bank account, living in Hungary and in Austria, and the University's support services.

In addition to this online web collection you also have free access to the MyCEU app, a mobile information guide for students available in Android and iOS App Stores. You may consult the app for student related services, resources and facilities, references to policies, and procedures regarding student rights, rules and academic regulations in the bi-campus environment. The desktop version is located at

The Dean of Students Office can be contacted with queries in relation to the content of the 'Information for Current Students’ website. If you cannot find an answer to a question you have, or think that some pieces of information are outdated or inaccurate, please contact us by email: (Vienna) or (Budapest). Enquiries about applying to the University should be directed to the Admissions Office for undergraduate or graduate study.
